An Overview of Stats
In PW there is a total of 4 stats: strength, agility, constitution and intelligence.
Strength
increases attack power for melee weapon
increases physical defense
Agility
increases attack power for range weapon
increases dodge
increases accuracy
increases critical rating (every 20 agi gives you 1% more critical rating)
Constitution
increases physical defense by a little
increases magical defense by a little
increases hp
increases hp regeneration rate (hp regeneration is reduced by 75% when in combat mode)
Intelligence
increases magical attack power
increases magical defense
increases maximum mp
increases mp regeneration rate (mp regeneration is reduced by 75% when in combat mode)

The Build
Though there are tons of different build for a character, they are mainly classified into 3 areas - Damage Type, Tanking Type and Hybrid Type.
Damage Type
AGI ARCHER - Pump your strength according to the minimum requirement for light armor and the rest of your stats into agility.
AGI archers has extremely high damage hence excellent at pking people who are leveling without warning (I highly suggest not doing this). But due to their lack of hp pool, they are easily taken down which makes them not as useful for guild fights.
PROS: High damage, high dodge rate, high hit rate.
CONS: Low hp.
Tank Type
CON ARCHER - Pump your strength according to the minimum requirement for light armor (heavy armor will also work), pump your dexterity according to the minimum requirement for bow/crossbow, rest of points into constitution.
CON archers well against warriors which archers fear most. Though with a lack of damage, the main skill used by archers when killing warriors are the thunder type skills since they are gold element attacks (hence denying warriors the advantage of high physical armor). Thunder type skills use fixed damage so it reduces the penalty of low damage.
PROS: High hp pool and higher def compared to AGI archer.
CONS: Low damage, low dodge, low hit rate.
Hybrid Type
AGI/CON ARCHER - Pump your strength according to the minimum requirement for light armor, pump your dexterity according to the minimum requirement for bow/crossbow, rest of points into constitution.
By having a slightly higher CON, it solves the problem of the survivability issue in guild fights. It also makes it easier to survive when doing FB (Instance Dungeon) or normal leveling against magic-type mob due to the higher hp pool (Magic has 100% hit rate, rendering dodge useless). Damage as compared to a AGI archer isn't that much of a difference.
PROS: Rather high damage, rather high dodge, rather high hit rate, average hp pool, higher defense compared to AGI archer.
CONS: Same as PROS.
Out of the 3 build, i strongly recommend the hybrid build. Reason is simply because damage is reduced by 75% when in PvP hence having a pure damage build isn't really that wise. Considering the 2nd fact that most archer skills does fix damage + weapon damage and not percentage of weapon damage, this thus further reduce the advantage for having a pure damage build. And for the 3rd factor, magic has 100% hit rate and an archer that went demon path has 2 skills with 100% hit rate, making it more important to have hp pool.
